Lavender material from the Twyford Family - thanks!
This dress didn't quite end up looking like the picture. It's a nice dress and I got the hang of the technique pretty well but I don't have the same chest size as the model on the front of the pattern so it doesn't look as flattering on me. Because the top part is quite large and baggy it hides everything and it ends up being a little odd. Nevertheless I totally enjoy the sleeves and I might embellish later with some doilies, bows, or YoYo's. Probably a petticoat as well. I finished this one half way through the month though so I thought I'd tick something off my bucket list and make myself some overalls. Lavender material from the Twyford Family - thanks! Farmer Fran a little. But fun for summer :D What I really liked about this pattern was that the overalls were high-waisted, which is something I haven't found in overalls in a while. Granted I made it a little bigger than I wanted; it was a bit tricky with the multiple sizing and I would rather it too big than too small so I can fix it later. But for my first go with all those different pieces that needed putting together I'm rather happy with the result. And the buttons? My mother brought them back from a jewelry store from her recent trip to Europe. I rather love them.
