One crafternoon I sat down and made this while being inspired by my amazing sister and her statement necklaces that are made out of salvaged or second hand materials (check out http://spiritfiredesigns.com/). While I usually reinvent clothes, I decided to have a go at some jewellery even though that's Nads' forte. The end result is another life for this watchface that I was given many years ago from my dear Mum but the watch straps broke and the battery died. I also used some spare lace leftover from my patchwork skirt project, and these tiny flowers I had leftover from my crafting and scrapbooking days. I wove some pink ribbon in and out of the lace to make the necklace a bit more stable. The buttons are from a humongous jar I bought from an op-shop quite some time ago and the felt was an offcut from my sister's projects.
It all comes together quite nicely I think, and now those materials can be used for something else again.
